About the PTCA

Last school year(23-24), a small team of parents re-established the Brownington Central School Parent Teacher Community Association (PTCA). The first big event was the 1st Annual Brownington Harvest Fest at the Evansville Trading Post. We then held our first family movie night at BCS, hosted the Junior Hoops Basketball Tournament with help from the 8th grade class, and honored the hard work of all the teachers and staff who support our students by delivering them a variety of treats right before the winter break and again during staff appreciation week.

As we move closer to a new school year, the PTCA wants to focus on member recruitment. Many hands make light work, but too few hands lead to burnout for current members. So many wonderful ideas could be possible with additional support from the community. That support can come in countless ways, and all are welcome! As Mrs. Ullrich is fond of saying, "it takes a village to raise these children". The PTCA acknowledges how busy our families are in the BCS community. This school year, we have added 3 membership options to help recruit and retain board members. More information and sign-ups will be available during the BCS Open House evening. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the BCS PTCA with any questions at bcsptca@gmail.com.
